Skipperinn sweater
This pattern, Skipperinn (e. the Skipper), is influenced by the old fishermen‘s ganseys along with vibes from Guernsey. Worked top-down, in the round with a classic raglan increase. Texture only uses knit and purl stitches. I had this sweater in my head for a while before I made it and when it came down to naming it, the only choice was Skipperinn, both because it is in sync with traditional fishermen ́s sweaters and because my grandfather was a captain of a fishing ship. At my grandparents’ house we always had dinner at ‘skipper time‘ as we called it or at 6 pm. Skipper is a word my family holds dear, as my grandfather was The Skipper in our minds and hearts.
I recommend reading the pattern before you start – it needs attention as it is a big diagram/texture.
