Lyng (eng. Heather) is a thick and warm, cozy and soft sweater for women. Worked top- down with classic raglan increase and beautiful but simple pattern in the yoke inspired by the old Icelandic wool sweaters. It has a nice collar and is very comfy – perfect for the outdoors all year round, and those cold winter days. The color pattern on the yoke is made of simple repeats, has three contrast colors, but only uses two colors at a time. I recommend reading the pattern before you start.
Sizes: XS (S) M (L) XL (XXL)
Chest width: approx. 95 (102) 108 (114) 120 (126) cm
Yarn: Drops Wish (50 g = 70 m).
Materials: Main color 450 (500) 550 (600) 650 (650) g super bulky yarn.
Contrast color 1: 50 g all sizes.
Contrast color 2: 50 g all sizes.
Contrast color 3: 50 g all sizes.
Needles: 8 mm (size US 11) circular needles and double pointed needles, small 7 mm (size US 10.75 ) circular needle or double pointed needles for collar. Tip: if your knitting tension is tight it is good practice to knit the color pattern with a size bigger needles as knitting with two or more colors can add to the tension.
Gauge: 13 sts/10 cm (4 inches) in stockinette st on 8 mm (size 11 US) needles.
